Hello!!
Next week you will have the Natural Science test about Excretory & Reproductive systems. First review our slideshow and videos, take a look at the trivial questions (there were some mistakes, so check them again, please) and then, to be ready for the oral test, here you have the questions Ruby will ask you about:
EXCRETORY SYSTEM
1. What is excretion? And where does it take place?
It's the elimination of waste products from blood. It takes place in the excretory system, in the respiratory system and in the sweat glands
2. What is the function of the kidneys and the bladder?
The kidneys filter the blood and the bladder stores the urine.
3. Using the apron, explain how the excretory system works?
REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
1. What are the differences between men and women? Talk about sexual characteristics.
PRIMARY SEXUAL CHARACTERISTICS:
The genital organs (reproductive organs). We are born with them.
SECONDARY SEXUAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Other physical differences between men and women:
Men have facial hair, a deeper voice, more body hair and more developed muscles.
Women develop breasts and have wider hips, a higher voice and less body hair.
2. What is puberty?
It is the stage of life when reproductive organs become functional and secondary sexual characteristics develop.
It may take place between the ages of 10 and 14 in girls and 12 and 16 in boys. However, these ages differ from person to person.
3. What is fertilization?
Fertilization happens when a sperm cell joins with an egg cell.
4. Choose one of the reproductive systems' apron and explain its organs' function.
